Without Reason Poem by Callum Ashworth. A man in an arch way with his arms open towards the sky filled with birds.

Without Reason

Not much bothers me except
the lack of freedom placed
on me.

Can't say this, can't do that.
Sit down. Line up.
Behave. Don't stare.

So many rules
I don't want to follow.

Why must I have a reason just to be outside?
At home, I'm told I can do anything
so why not this?

I want to step out without reason.
I want to be free like the birds in the sky.
