I’m Callum Ashworth, a writer from the United Kingdom. My poetry explores emotional depth, introspection, and darker narrative imagery, often focusing on themes of isolation, conflict, identity and personal reflection. I write short atmospheric poems that aim to capture moments of thought and emotion in a raw and direct way. Every poem on this site is original and written by me.
I started writing dark and sad poetry to help me process my thoughts and feelings. The first poem I wrote was poker with the famous eight back in 2019, after losing touch and growing apart with my old school friends. I discovered that writing it down using poetry helped me close the chapter and move on. If you’re struggling with something, I hope these poems remind you that you’re not alone.
I always use a strong metaphor in each poem to capture and deliver emotional storytelling. The stories I share are all from personal experiences. I aim to reach the readers who need it most so that they don’t feel alone in what they are going through.
